Liliana’s Emotional Post
Liliana, the wife of Dave Myers, who was one half of the popular duo Hairy Bikers, has opened up about her loss and grief, and how she plans to move forward with her beloved husband. Dave passed away in February due to cancer, leaving behind his wife, Liliana, and long-term co-star Si King. Liliana shared a heartfelt post on social media, expressing how life has been empty and sad since Dave’s death, but she is determined to stay positive and move forward with him, as that’s what he would have wanted.
She wrote in a social media post: “Life stood still when I lost Dave. It still seems still, empty and sad. And I know it might seem too soon to even consider moving on. How can I move on from this wonderful, exhilarating, out of ordinary life that I shared with an extraordinary man? When he is everywhere and in everything around me?
Liliana elaborated on how Dave has shaped her life in the last 20 years, and how he will always be a part of her. She plans to live her life with his zest for life and take him with her on her adventures, experiencing life with him in her heart. She emphasized that while there’s grief to go through, she won’t let the sadness get the better of her, because Dave wouldn’t want that for her.
Many of Liliana’s social media followers were quick to show their support, with messages of love and admiration for her strength and resilience. Dave was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and chose to keep his diagnosis private, so as to not be judged by others. He was 14 sessions into his chemotherapy treatment when he went public with his diagnosis on the Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles podcast.
Despite his health struggles, Dave continued to do what he loved and made several television appearances, including Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Dave’s passing has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones and fans, but Liliana’s determination to move forward with her husband’s memory is an inspiration to many.
